Oslo is home to a tiny prototypical home called “Boxhome” that only takes up roughly 200 square feet of space– total. The rectangular shaped structure is two levels, and features a total of 4 rooms. A kitchen with dining area, bathroom, living room and bedroom. Designed by Rintala Eggertsson, this little space is a gem.
It might seem like not enough space to live in at all (not to mention the “bed” doesn’t look to comfortable either) but the price may entice those looking to purchase for a fraction of the cost. About a quarter of the same cost that a regular apartment would run in the same location. Though it may not be ideal for those who are first time buyers, this would possibly be a great solution for students or others looking to live in tighter, less expensive quarters.
