“Daphne” LED Geometric Paper Tunnel In Santorini

24° Studio created an interesting paper tunnel through the stairs of Santorini, Greece; in an area called Pyrgos. Titled “Daphne,” this installation is an amazing juxtaposition of new and old. A plethora of paper sculpted floral or star shapes were crafted into hollowed out pieces to be formed as an undulating tunnel of sorts through the city streets.

The installation was formed with the idea of combining the past and present to give passersby the thoughts of yesterday and the hopes of tomorrow. Even at night, the Daphne tunnel is illuminated with LED lights that allow an etherial glow to shine through the paper art.
