Japanese architect Tadao Ando has been at the forefront of design and architecture for years and years. Ando designed the large house and contemporary art gallery for his good friend and long time collaborator, Takeo Obayashi.
Complete with a traditional Japanese tea room and a spacious art gallery in addition to the standard living spaces. Tadao’s typical love and play on light is also incorporated to the house, with over 6,800 ceramic shaped tiles for a facade that reflects all kinds of light to create gold and blue hues bouncing off of the exterior walls.
A great blend of cultural traditions and gorgeous modern design, this design paradise is nothing short of amazing.
