Hutker Architects were an integral part on the construction of a Edgartown, Massachusetts home that’s a different concept than we typically see in most residential homes. Instead of there being a particular plan or path of way finding through the family home– there are so many ways to move around and explore both indoor and outdoor spaces. Thus, it was given the name of the ‘up-over-between’ house.
And the home is maze-like in itself, especially with interesting rooms such as the half bath on one of the levels, encased by rich wood slats and surrounded by bright pinks and teals in multiple places of the home. The architects note the experience of the home was being “outdoors connected with the land from each and every space.”
