Architecture and graffiti tend to go hand in hand. Whether buildings and property are seen as being defaced or beautified, they both exist and are important parts to many walks of life. A great product that carefully shows the integration and great play off of one another are The Hive Lofts in Melbourne, Australia, designed by ITN Architects.
Constructed mainly out of concrete, there are two apartments, of which an architect and a graffiti artist would be living. There are plenty of materials used on this project– lots of concrete and especially the relief carved facade that reads “hive.” The interior is just as sleek, complete with stone, more concrete and simple finishes.
