Eneco created their latest Rotterdam Headquarters, and they’ve focused their sole purpose on being green and reducing all of their 2,000+ employees carbon footprints. The company teamed up with Amsterdam-based Hofman Dujardin Architects and Fokkema & Partners to come up with something special that would make everyone a part of the larger goal.
The entire lower portion of the exterior on the almost 270,000 square foot building is wrapped in vertical planters complete with greenery to help offset energy used. Either way the building utilizes solar power, LED lighting, and many other means of keeping their contributions to global warming minimal.
Inside the building is a clean and fresh white with color coded floors and areas for teaming and collaboration– and there is of course another vertical garden framing an all white seating area that provides fresh oxygen and much needed mix of nature in the gigantic office space.
