We have seen decommissioned airplanes receive second lives as homes in the past, like the Malibu Wing House, but this is certainly the first hotel we have ever encountered.
The Hotel Costa Verde in beautiful Costa Rica utilizes a vintage 1965 Boeing 727 airplane to house its guests. The plane used to fly passengers on both South Africa Air and Avianca Airlines before the hotel salvaged nearly each piece to construct the hotel. Of course the entire interior of the plane has been overhauled and revamp to accommodate guests at a rate ranging of $250 to $500 per night. via Enpundit
