When it comes to design Japan is most known for the incredible use of small spaces along with their stunning contemporary dwellings. The ‘House On The Bluff’ is definitely an example of the latter, and proves why stateside designers continue to draw from Japan for their inspiration on current projects.
Designed by the Japanese firm Edward Suzuki Architecture, the home gets its name from the positioning upon a bluff where residents are treated to beautiful views of the seaport city. The entire facade of the home is covered in an off white color with touches of wood used throughout providing a nice warm, contrasting finish. Our favorite part of the home is the bamboo reeds acting as a partition between the entry staircase and living room.
