Brazil has become a hot spot for some of our favorite contemporary designed apartment spaces, and featured here is another from Brazlian architect Felipe Hess.
The project was completed in collaboration with fellow Brazilian artist Renata Pedrosa, and the end results are simply stunning. The 1,500 square foot apartment resides in Sao Paulo, Brazil within the Oscar Niemeyer’s Copan Building. The original apartment consisted of three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen, and laundry room that was converted into a much more contemporary, open loft space. There is still however a private bedroom that is sectioned off from the social areas by large raw steel doors adding a nice industrial touch to the living space. Concrete support beams, ceilings, and a wall behind the bed add to this industrial feel, while the focal point for us would be the large glass box that houses both the shower along with the old bathtub.
