Created by Columbian based artist Miler Lagos, this ‘Home’ installation is an igloo like structure comprised of old salvaged books from the library of a U.S. Navy Base.
The installation was assembled last year at the MagnanMetz Gallery, and is half completed to show a work in progress captured at specific moment in time. The spines of the book face inward while the white pages are all pointing outward in order to create a color-white-color dynamic. The key point to this installation is that the entire dome is held together by naturally relying each other, rather than any kind of glue or bonding or materials.
