In places like China and Japan, residents have practiced small space design for many years due to the lack of excess space. Many other places around the world have followed suit with Asian countries hoping to become more efficient, not wasting resources and space.
Urban dwellers will definitely gain some inspiration from the fittingly titled Red Nest. With only 247 square feet of living space designer Paul Coudamy knew that something innovative was needed for this Paris based apartment. A red sliding wall unit was created that combines a desk, wardrobe, and slide out bed maximizing all of the available space. To help make the space feel even larger, two way mirrors were used in the sleeping quarters.
