The YMCA, Young Men’s Christian Association, is one of the most famous organizations in the world. Found all the way back in 1844, the brand has been focused on “empowering young people.” Rather than demolishing the first United States YMCA basketball court and suspended running track, design firm The Apartment decided to give the massive room a makeover.

The Apartment revamped this massive 7,000 square foot space into a contemporary 5 bedroom residence fit for a family. The new home features several different amenities including an indoor garden, 12 person home theater, and even a 30 foot long kitchen.

Check out the YMCA before the revamping by The Apartment. Notice the suspended running tack above the basketball court.
