Nestled atop a 1970′s Mexican colonial building is this beautifully designed contemporary PPDG Penthouse designed by the Guadalajara-based studio Hernandez Silva Arquitectos.
The simple and sleek penthouse features everything one would expect from a luxury apartment including a living room and dining area that completely opens up to the outside elements. Easily the most eye grabbing aspect of this home is the bathroom that stares straight down a 15 story elevator shaft through a glass floor.
“A characteristic feature of the project is that a volume that was originally intended for a second elevator and was never installed becomes a powder room with a glass floor that looks down all the 15 levels, the PPDG penthouse is a great versatile modulated space, with great views all this with the concepts of transparency and the simplicity of materials.”
