This humble abode is floating on the waters of the Hunte River located in Oldenburg, Germany. Seeing that the home is located in the middle of the wilderness, the design team chose natural wood construction elements to cover the facade, helping the home blend with its natural surroundings. On the interior, the home owners chose materials and design elements that would create both an inviting and warm interior, a place they could truly call home within the middle of a cold forest like landscape. The homeowners didn’t forget their loved ones either, building bedrooms made specifically for the family’s cats.
