Many individuals will let small spaces hinder their ability to be creative and accomplish their desired goals with a living space. The team at New York based firm Jordan Parnass Digital Architecture proves that small spaces can sometimes be the best for innovative design elements.
What some would call cramped, they turned to cozy by thinking vertically. To help make the space seem larger the design time utilized plenty of light color schemes paired with wooden finishes to provide that feeling of warmth that we look for in our home. The designers explain the project as, “Economy, functionality and privacy were the primary drivers in the design of this sixth floor home office studio. Meticulously detailed millwork provides ample storage, making this small-footprint apartment extremely efficient. A bedroom loft creates space for a roomy walk-in closet below, while stair risers conceal a series of built-in drawers. Every inch of the space has been effectively exploited.”
