German Designer Thorsten Franck has created so many innovative products, and one of his most renowned is the Out of Balance stool.

Franck describes the stool as one for lounging, rocking, sitting & relaxing. the stool stands flexible like a milking stool just on one leg – using the principles of a tumbler. the three dimensional base body is formed in a light weight construction out of oak veneer, using a special 3d forming technology.

Out of Balance was first introduced in a flat sheet aluminum body, and has now transitioned to an additional wood finish for a more natural integration to a space.
