Sustainability and minimizing the carbon footprint are challenges that architects today choose to take on. One firm that has taken it on times three, with multiple series of homes so far is Glen Irani Architects who believe in maximizing the outdoor space to minimize the carbon footprint of single family homes.
The Hover House 3 definitely accomplished this, with a good portion of its 2500 square feet geared toward an indoor/outdoor multi-functional lifestyle nestled in Los Angeles, CA. The home itself boasts a minimalistic approach to furnishings and accessories, with the architecture and color boosting the design elements already built in.
Their main goal with the Hover House is for the concept to “root in the community as a practical model for exchanging built volumes with exterior living equivalents.” Not to mention, the Hover House is stunning.
