Brazil has some really amazing contemporary architecture, and this hotel by Isay Weinfeld is no different. Combining the low and natural materials within the sprawling lands just outside of São Paulo, the Brazilian architect got it all right when the elements were complementary to both the indoor and outdoor spaces of the property.
It’s completely surrounded by lakes, preserved forestry, and gardens that flow right into the Fasano Boa Vista. Located over 2,470 acres of sprawling farmland 60 miles outside São Paulo, Fasano Boa Vista offers two 18-hole golf courses, more than 14 lakes and natural pools and all the leisure offerings of a countryside retreat. Not only that, but an equestrian center was built to provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy nearby trails.
The bar is one of the historically linked “Wagon Bar deck.” The bar itself is inside an antique train car from the 1930s, which once connected the nearby city of Sorocaba with São Paulo.
