Prefab homes become all the rage over recent years, and the popularity shows no signs of slowing down. Although we have seen quite a few prefab houses pop up recently, we haven’t featured a lot tailored towards harsh weather condition climates.
Designer Christopher Daniel looks to change that with the Prefab California Roll House designed for Desert Environments. Inspired by the classic Sushi roll, this house is comprised of fiber-reinforced plastic coupled with carbon trusses for support. The house include hydraulically controlled automatic doors along with an electronically controlled micro climate to ensure cool temperatures in the scorching desert regions.
