The artist and designer duo that makes up Carnovsky are Francesco Rugi and Silvia Quintanilla, who have most recently shown their latest vibrant and enticing works at various design based shows world wide. They’ve partnered with a few popular retailers to get their works out to the mainstream and on smart devices, but their original works are spectacular on a much larger scale.
Their works are a great inspiration for so many applications, and Carnovsky’s work breathes life and vibrance into any dull space. Bringing color into a room can be difficult, but with the RGB tones and mixed patterns there’s truly no limit to what can be mixed in any situation.
Inspiration can be drawn from many facets of the art, or even taken at times from the designers themselves. See what Carnovsky had to say about the RGB works that have been displayed:
RGB’s technique consists in the overlapping of three different images, each one in a primary color. The resulting images from this three level’s superimposition are unexpected and disorienting. The colors mix up, the lines and shapes entwine becoming oneiric and not completely clear. Through a colored filter (a light or a transparent material) it is possible to see clearly the layers in which the image is composed. The filter’s colors are red, green and blue, each one of them serves to reveal one of the three layers.
