Bisazza Launches 'Bagno' Division With Marcel Wanders Bathroom Collection

It only makes sense that a company devoted to the gorgeous art of mosaic tiles that are primarily used in wet spaces would transcend the tile world to expand into the stylings and product lines of bathroom design. Bisazza is doing just that with their ‘Bagno’ division; and what better way to kick things off than with the amazingly talented designer Marcel Wanders?

He’s done some great works as the founder for his company “Moooi” and he’s got a beautiful aesthetic that would complement some of Bisazza’s fine tile mosaics perfectly.

Their collaboration together is simply perfect. A striking balance between contemporary and traditional period pieces, with rounded elements in either glossy white or lacquered black, with pops of red on handles and small pieces of importance.

Marcel seamlessly integrates storage elements within the full height mirrors and shows off intricate baroque carvings into a few of the mirrors, too. The tub and sinks are a great contrast to the carved pieces, boasting rounded edges and slight curvature.

Marcel had this to say about his exciting collection with the Italian company:

The collection derives its original concept from a fantasy of mine, taking a bath immersed in soap: the apotheosis of clean! [...] The idea of presenting different periods in a single collection comes from one of my beliefs: people have two opposing forces within them, one towards an eternal dimension where things last over time, the other towards change. In my design I oscillate and move between these two poles, the old and the new, reassurance and innovation. I believe it is an answer to a very human feeling. The Wanders Collection reflects precisely this duality.
